We find it very difficult to find things to do in places - the information is scattered all over the place.

Have you looked at TripAdvisor or Yelp? Did you know TripAdvisor lists NYFries in the mall as the 18th best things to do in K/W? How absurd! A region that is projected to hit a million people this decade, filled with history, art, and activities, and yet, soggy potatoes in the mall is a top thing to do? No. Not to mention, it seems like half the items listed online are gone forever.

Have you tried looking on social media for activities? It's impossible. Buried under ads, and which account do you even follow?

This is the real deal: Advertisement free, no social media, all in one place. Are you looking for something to do, something to eat? Look here first.

This isn’t just any listing of things to do in town. Google will happily tell you where the nearest Starbucks, mall or gym is. This is the curated list of the best things to do in the area. There’s more to do than binge watch the next greatest video stream. There’s more to eat than the usual chains. Join us and discover some of our local haunts.

We've tried everything on the list (without compensation or undue bias (if we are somehow related to this entity, it will be marked)). If you know of something that you think should be on the list, we may very well have tried it, but didn't deem it worthy. Harsh.

Goals:

• Promote our local, unique options instead of larger chains
• Remind people there's more to do than watch Netflix
• Simplify finding things by aggregating everything to a single page
• Demonstrate the growing variety of things to do around us
• Eschew ads and noise
• Be mostly up-to-date
• Expand geographic areas
• Avoid drive-throughs. Bad for the environment, bad for urban design, bad for your health.

Originally created as a single page document to give our new tenants to find thier way to the nearest grocery store, this guide has grown quite a bit.

Caveats:

• It's curated. Our opinion may not match yours. Too bad.
• It's not really our job, so it's not perfectly updated.
• We're not professionals. It's ugly. Not sorry.

How to read the guide

Trying to stick to a budget? $ (how can they do this so cheaply) to $$$$$ (save up for this one) is a relative measure of cost. $0 marks a "free" activity.

Links are provided where known/available. Adresses aren't given, because most folks have a map app somewhere on thier phone. Maybe someday we'll post a map of these places.
